  2. Hi HLiza
Yes, Sugar is VERY bad for us!! Does this mean we can never indulge in a wonderful double fudge brownie? Of course not. It's unhealthy when we eat this stuff on a regular basis though. I have clients that come and see me for ADHD and we've had incredible result by simply changing the diet. I've seen kids go off medication and comments from teachers saying they couldn't believe the difference! I recommende people start reading labels. You would be surprised at how much sugar is added to foods! Even "healthy" salad dressings.
    FOODS CAN MODIFY OUR BEHAVIOURS!
And so whether it's kids that are too hyper, or women that are too hormonal, the foods we eat every day do make a huge difference in regards to how we feel.

  7. Hi FSRT

To some extent, I do care what people think and their opinions.
To be honest, the only thing I had to do for this list was cut and paste:)
Interesting information in regards to sugar. It can really motivate us to be more aware of what we eat and its effects on our bodies.

  8. This is the first time I've been to your blog. I found your list to be interesting. To be honest, I have a difficult time buying into some of the claims. It reminds me of friends who told me that all obesity is the result of addiction to refined white sugar. They claimed that Hitler used to feed his staff sugary pastries before a meeting to better control their minds.

When they told me that sugar is one of the first five ingredients in most processed food-- everything from peanut-butter to some meat products, I was surprised. When I took the time to learn some of the dozens of pseudonymns for sugar, and started reading labels myself, I realized that sugar is everywhere.

Between refined white flour and refined white sugar, most of the processed foods in north America are unhealthy. Again, I've only read a couple posts, but I suspect you would agree with this statement.

So though I am somewhat skeptical of some of the alleged links between sugar and some of the conditions listed, I remember that though I didn't buy into the stories my friends told me about sugar, there was an element of truth in what they said that I could benefit from. I'll read more on your blog. If nothing else, it will get me thinking more critically about what I eat.

When I stopped eating sugar I lost 80 pounds. When my friends hounded me for not being "really serious" about diet, and dismissing my weight loss, I gradually drifted away from them and back into more destructive eating habits. Now that I'm making changes again, I guess I can look at sugar again...to a certain extent.
